AIT金明：美對台承諾不會改變

美國在台協會AIT發言人金明今天在高雄表示，美國支持兩岸關係朝和平方向發展。隨著中國崛起，「棄台論」發酵，他重申美國對台承諾不會改變，也珍惜與台關係。

馬政府強調服貿不過，將影響台灣是否加入跨太平洋夥伴協定（TPP）等區域經濟整合組織。金明表示，服貿是中國大陸與台灣之間的問題，他沒有任何立場，而兩岸服貿與TPP是不同的事，他也無法回答假設性問題。

台灣是美國第十二大經濟夥伴，中國則是美國的第二大經濟夥伴。隨著中國崛起，美國學界也出現「棄台論」，引起台灣民眾疑慮。金明表示，這是學術文章，美國尊重學者看法，但美國對台灣的承諾是不會改變的，也很珍惜與台灣長遠的關係。
