Zoo Mall今拆除 將做藝文空間

〔自由時報記者游蓓茹／台北報導〕台北市立動物園近八千坪的「園外服務中心」（Zoo Mall）今天拆除，動物園表示，因動物展示區陸續完工開放，建築物老舊不堪使用，今起拆除，工期約一四○個工作天，拆除費用約三千三百萬元，之後將整修為綠美化公園以及藝文展演空間。

過去Zoo Mall經營團隊一度虧錢高達七億元，被譏為「北市最大蚊子館」，動物園也多次提案轉型，包括「水族館」、「台灣黑熊暨本土生態教育園區」、「夜間動物園」等，但多被議員否決，民國一○二年台北市議會通過拆除預算。

動物園表示，當初動物園從圓山搬遷到木柵，規劃將遊客餐飲服務集中到園外， 但隨著園區內展示區越來越完整，實際使用上遊客不太會為了用餐而走到Zoo Mall。拆除後，未來將設置捷運廣場、藝術角、裝置藝術平台、大型展演廣場、遮雨廊道及貓纜廣場等，也串聯捷運便利商店、廁所及水舞園區。
